The Immediate Past Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and Chairman, Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has advised married couples to build their homes on the foundation of openness, sincerity, and trust, while avoiding third-party interference in marital affairs.
Balarabe gave the advice on Saturday in Akwanga Local Government Area during the wedding fatiha of Rabo Usman Nana, younger brother to Hon. Ibrahim Aliyu Nana, member representing Keffi West Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
Standing in for the groom’s father, Balarabe Abdullahi formally sought the hand of Ameerah Lawal Salihu from the representative of her father, Muhammad Sadauki, in marriage to Rabo Usman Nana.
After the payment of N300,000 dowry and fulfillment of other marital conditions, the Chief Imam of Akwanga Central Mosque, Mallam Abdulsalam Ibrahim, pronounced the couple husband and wife, praying for divine blessings upon their union.

The former Speaker, while congratulating the newlyweds, encouraged them to embrace unity of purpose and mutual respect to sustain a peaceful and lasting marriage.
The occasion was graced by serving and former lawmakers, commissioners, and local government chairmen, among other dignitaries.
