Attorney General Isaac Danladi Pledges Support for FULafia Sports Development

The Director of Sports at the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Isah Ozegya,  led a delegation from the Directorate of Sports on a courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Nasarawa State, Barr. Isaac Danladi, at his office in Lafia.

The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the university and the Attorney General in advancing sporting activities within the institution.

Welcoming the delegation, Barr. Danladi, a renowned sports administrator and former Chairman of Nasarawa United Football Club, pledged his readiness to support the university’s sporting programmes.

 He said sports had played a defining role in shaping his life and career, noting that he remains committed to nurturing young talent.

“I have been following developments at FULafia, both in sports and academics, and I must say I am impressed with the progress so far.

 I am ready to partner with you to further promote sporting initiatives that will benefit the students and the entire university community,” Danladi stated.

He further assured the team of his willingness to participate in future sporting events organized by the university, stressing that such collaboration would foster a culture of excellence and sportsmanship among youths.

In his remarks, Ozegya commended Danladi’s longstanding passion for sports development in Nasarawa State, noting that the Directorate’s vision aligns with his commitment to using sports as a tool for youth engagement and empowerment.

The visit was described as the beginning of a potentially fruitful partnership between FULafia and the state government in advancing sports as a driver of growth and youth development.
