Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has tasked the newly inaugurated officials of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to focus on championing the welfare of students and upholding the ideals of selfless leadership.

The Governor, represented by the State Commissioner for Education, delivered the charge during the inauguration ceremony held at the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development in Lafia.

In his remarks, the Education Commissioner congratulated the student leaders on their emergence and urged them to embrace unity, discipline, and vision in their service to the Nigerian student community.

He emphasized that student leadership is a vital platform for grooming future leaders who can contribute meaningfully to national development.

Governor Sule reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to education and student welfare, pledging continuous partnership with NANS and other youth bodies in policies and programs that foster growth and opportunity.

The inauguration ceremony drew the presence of top government functionaries, stakeholders in the education sector, and student representatives across the state, who described the event as a milestone for the advancement of student unionism in Nasarawa.
