In a move aimed at bridging academic knowledge with practical experience, students of the Nigerian Law School on court attachment have paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Nasarawa State, Barrister Isaac Ahmadu Danladi.
The visiting aspirants to the Bar were led by the Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lafia Branch, N.J. Abundaga, Esq., following the completion of their court attachment exercise.
The initiative was at the instance of the Honourable Attorney-General to expose the students to the inner workings of the legal system, the Ministry of Justice, and the broader realities of legal practice.
While receiving the students, Barr. Danladi commended their dedication to the legal profession and emphasized the core values of integrity, diligence, and professionalism as the foundation of a successful legal career.
He encouraged them to remain steadfast and ethical in their pursuit of justice, stressing that the legal profession demands responsibility and continuous self-improvement.
The Honourable Attorney-General also signed the students’ Benchers forms as part of the engagement process.
As part of the interactive session, the students engaged with top officials of the ministry, including the Acting Solicitor-General, M.I. Adi, Esq., and the Director of Public Defender, J.A. Allu, Esq., who shared invaluable insights from their legal careers and offered practical guidance to the aspiring lawyers.
Speaking on behalf of the students, Mr. Okon Mahlon Anthony expressed profound appreciation to the Attorney-General and the ministry’s management for the warm reception and the rich learning experience.
He described the visit as inspiring and instrumental in shaping their career aspirations.
The visit, which aligns with the Nigerian Law School’s goal of providing students with hands-on legal experience, ended with a group photograph capturing the memorable engagement between the students, the Attorney-General, and senior management of the Ministry of Justice.
