The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Nasarawa State, Barrister Isaac Danladi, has submitted four executive bills to Governor Abdullahi Sule for onward transmission to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

The submission was made during the State Executive Council meeting held yesterday at the Government House, Lafia.

The bills seek the naming and renaming of certain public infrastructure and facilities in Lafia to reflect the identities of individuals who have made notable contributions to the development of Nigeria and Nasarawa State.

The four executive bills are:

1. Bill to Rename Shendam Road, Lafia as Muhammadu Buhari Road

2. Bill to Name the Combined Interchange Flyover and Underpass in Lafia as Bola Ahmed Tinubu Interchange

3. Bill to Rename the Government House Banquet Hall as Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall

4. Bill to Name the New Presidential Lodge at Government House as Umaru Tanko Al-Makura Presidential Lodge

Barr. Danladi explained that the proposed names are being considered strictly on the basis of the individuals’ contributions to the development of the state and the nation, with no other motivations.

Governor Abdullahi Sule acknowledged the submission and assured that the documents would be transmitted to the State House of Assembly for legislative consideration.

The presentation was part of a broader set of discussions held during the executive council meeting, which also included reports and updates from other commissioners on critical government programmes and initiatives.
