The Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon. Barr. Isaac Danladi, on Monday, played host to one of the state’s fastest-rising musical talents, Agbutun David Abuluya, in a courtesy visit ahead of the artist’s upcoming concert.

The visit, which took place at the Attorney General’s office, saw Agbutun extend a formal invitation to Barr. Danladi for his forthcoming event titled “Uncaged Tour,  A Journey of Expression, Healing and Hope,” scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025, by 4:00 PM at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

The concert, according to Agbutun, is aimed at showcasing the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Nasarawa State through a fusion of music, storytelling, and artistic expression.

Barr. Danladi, while receiving the artist and his delegation led by Mr. Eche Amos, commended Agbutun’s unique talent and commitment to cultural promotion.

He assured the artist of his attendance at the event and encouraged him to remain steadfast in using his music as a vehicle for heritage preservation and societal transformation.

“I am particularly proud of young creatives like you who use art to reflect our identity and values. Keep inspiring the next generation,” the Commissioner stated.

He also lauded Mr. Eche Amos for his continuous support of youth talent and creative development in the state.

Agbutun, an Eggon-born Afro-folk and Afro-soul artist, is known for his profound lyrical content, emotional depth, and bilingual compositions in Eggon and English.

His musical journey gained national attention when he emerged among the top 17 finalists in the Nigerian Idol Season Six in 2021, hosted at the MultiChoice Studios in Lagos.

The Uncaged Tour is expected to draw a diverse audience and reaffirm Nasarawa’s place on the map of culturally rich states in Nigeria.
