For APC’s Future, National Chairmanship Should Return to Nasarawa — Stakeholders Back Al-Makura

Also Read

After the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairmanship of the APC was micro-zoned to Nasarawa State, a rightful move reflecting the political balance within the North Central region.

However, that agreement was later breached when the seat was redirected to Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje from Kano State. Now that Ganduje has resigned, logic, fairness, and political strategy demand that the party course-correct.

Senator Tanko Al-Makura remains the most deserving and strategic choice for National Chairman.

He is not only a founding father of the APC and a bridge-builder across party factions, but also a seasoned leader with grassroots appeal and national reach.

His leadership will foster internal reconciliation, strengthen party cohesion, and prepare the APC for victory in 2027—especially in Nasarawa State, where the party must reclaim its stronghold.

Despite challenges in the 2023 election, APC still holds significant goodwill and potential in Nasarawa. But this can only be activated by doing what is right—giving back what was rightfully zoned to the state.

Let justice, equity, and political wisdom prevail.
