Former Governor of Nasarawa State and Senator, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing his emergence as a reflection of collective wisdom and visionary leadership.
In a personally signed letter dated 27th July 2025 and addressed to the APC National Chairman, Senator Al-Makura hailed the decision of the party's National Executive Committee and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as timely and strategic.
“I embrace this decision not only with optimism but with unwavering commitment to the ideals upon which the APC was built—discipline, equity, and nation-first leadership,” the senator stated.
He pledged his full support for the new chairman’s leadership, expressing confidence in his ability to steer the party with courage, inclusivity, and clarity of purpose.
According to the former governor, the time has come for healing, grassroots reconnection, and the strengthening of APC’s role as a symbol of democratic maturity and national unity.
“I offer myself, as always, ever willing to lend my support to the cause of party cohesion, general inclusion, and strategic progress,” he declared.
Al-Makura urged the new chairman to prioritize empathy over expediency and consensus over conflict, stressing that while the responsibility ahead is immense, so too is the opportunity to inspire confidence and chart a forward-looking course worthy of the trust millions have placed in the APC.
