Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to use the period for sober reflection, fervent prayers, and acts of selflessness.
In a statement signed by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, the Speaker called for intensified prayers for Nigeria’s continued peace, unity, and prosperity, as well as for the success of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Dr. Jatau stressed the global significance of Eid-el-Kabir as a festival of sacrifice, love, and devotion, encouraging citizens to strengthen their relationship with God and extend compassion to one another—particularly the less privileged.
“This season reminds us of the virtues of sacrifice and selflessness. Let us use this period to deepen our commitment to unity, peace, and nation-building,” he said.
The Speaker also appealed to well-meaning individuals to support the needy, thereby promoting inclusiveness and giving hope to the underprivileged members of society.
“Let us continue to pray for our dear country to overcome its current challenges.
President Tinubu and our amiable Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, need our support and prayers to succeed. This applies to leaders at all levels,” he added.
Dr. Jatau further urged citizens to remain law-abiding, patriotic, and supportive of constituted authorities, while wishing all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Sallah celebration.
