Wadada Emerges Preferred Successor, Unveils HEARTS Agenda at Lafia Press Conference
Pledges continuity, unity, and results-driven governance ahead of 2027

Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has formally accepted his emergence as the preferred successor to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, pledging to consolidate ongoing development strides and deliver inclusive growth across Nasarawa State.
Wadada made this known during a press conference held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists along Makurdi Road in Lafia, where he described the endorsement by Governor Sule as a “call to higher service” anchored on responsibility, discipline, and service to the people.
He also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the reception accorded to him and his team during a recent visit to the Presidential Villa.
The senator commended fellow aspirants for their maturity and contributions to democratic development, noting that their collective aspirations reflect a shared commitment to the progress of the state.
He further acknowledged the critical role of traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth, and women in sustaining peace and unity.
Central to his address was the unveiling of the HEARTS Agenda, a six-pillar development framework focusing on human capital development, energy and mineral resources, agriculture and green economy, rural and urban renewal, trade and investment, and security.
According to Wadada, the framework is designed to build on the legacies of past administrations, including Abdullahi Adamu, Aliyu Akwe Doma, Umar Tanko Al-Makura, as well as the ongoing reforms under Governor Sule through the Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy (NEDS).
He assured that his administration, if elected, would prioritize job creation, improved human capital development, expanded infrastructure, transparency, and the strategic use of Nasarawa’s proximity to Abuja as an investment corridor.
Wadada called for unity among stakeholders, urging political leaders, aspirants, and citizens to work together in advancing stability, growth, and shared prosperity across the state.
“This moment is not about personal ambition, but about continuity, accelerated delivery, and impact,” he stated, reaffirming his commitment to serve with integrity and deliver tangible results.
