As the world marks the 2025 edition of Children's Day, retired General and governorship hopeful, Gen. Nuhu Angbazo (Rtd), has called on parents and guardians to make the moral upbringing of their children a top priority.

Gen. Angbazo made the call on Sunday, 25th May 2025, during a special church service held at the United English Baptist Church, Akwanga, in commemoration of this year’s Children’s Day celebration.

Expressing delight at the discipline and orderliness demonstrated by the children during the service, the retired Army General emphasized that instilling strong moral values in young ones is essential for shaping responsible future leaders.

“In an era where moral values are increasingly under threat, parents must rise to the responsibility of nurturing their children with discipline, compassion, and godliness,” Angbazo remarked.

In the spirit of the celebration, Gen. Angbazo also pledged to support the church by constructing a modern convenience facility dedicated to children within the worship center’s premises.

The vibrant service featured various children-centered activities, including soul-lifting song ministrations, a sermon delivered by young preacher Goodman Maikasuwa, and a drama presentation performed by the church's children ministry.

The event was attended by church members, parents, community leaders, and youth groups, all of whom applauded Gen. Angbazo’s commitment to child development and

moral values.
