The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, today received Hon. Peter Michael Egwudah, the 2023 NNPP House of Assembly candidate for Ibaji State Constituency, who formally pledged allegiance to the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Popularly known as Agbané Ibaji, Hon. Egwudah paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor at his residence in Lokoja, accompanied by a delegation of political stakeholders from Ibaji.
These included Hon. Thomas Offor, Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties II; Hon. Gabriel Ugbena; Hon. Lucky Ukwukama; Hon. Ambrose Etiukwu; Hon. Sunday Atule; and Hon. Williams Egwudah.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Egwudah revealed that he had officially joined the APC at his Ojilah Ward in Ibaji Local Government Area.
He expressed his unwavering support for the progressive and people-centered leadership of Governor Ododo and his Deputy, vowing to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state under the APC umbrella.
In his response, Deputy Governor Salifu congratulated Hon. Egwudah on his decision to join the ruling party, describing the APC as “the right political family to belong to.” He encouraged him to stay committed to the ideals of the party and to work closely with the leadership in Ibaji LGA to ensure continued grassroots development and unity.
The Deputy Governor further assured Egwudah of a level playing field and equal opportunities within the party, emphasizing the inclusive nature of the Ododo-led administration.
