The Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Liaison with the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Alkali, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to fostering a more robust and harmonious relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government in the state.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with our correspondent in Lafia, Hon. Alkali underscored the critical importance of synergy between the two arms for efficient governance and the overall development of Nasarawa State.
“As a former legislator, I understand the workings and dynamics of the Assembly.
This experience places me in a unique position to serve as a bridge of understanding, trust, and cooperation between the executive and the legislature,” he stated.
Hon. Alkali emphasized that his role goes beyond liaison, as it involves proactive engagement to ensure smooth communication, timely resolution of issues, and coordinated actions that align with the vision of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration.
He also appreciated the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, for his consistent efforts in maintaining a smooth and productive relationship between the legislature and the executive.
He described the Speaker as a committed leader whose cooperative stance has greatly enhanced democratic governance in the state.
Furthermore, Hon. Alkali commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for his transformative achievements, including making Nasarawa a safe haven for investors, sustaining peace and security across the state, the ongoing construction of flyovers and underpasses in Lafia and Akwanga, the Yahaya Sabo Bus Terminal in Lafia, the construction of the new State Secretariat, and the recruitment of civil servants to strengthen the public service.
He emphasized that these and other meaningful projects have direct bearing on the lives of the common man and reflect a leadership that is responsive, people-oriented, and focused on sustainable development.
“These achievements reflect a visionary leadership determined to transform Nasarawa into a model of modern governance and economic prosperity,” Alkali added.
He pledged to continue playing his part diligently in support of the governor’s agenda, working to ensure that the people of Nasarawa State continue to benefit from peaceful, inclusive, and developmental governance.
