The All Progressives Congress, APC in alliance with the 23 Local Government Council Chairmen, and the forum of APC elders have unanimously endorsed President Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia for reelection in 2027.
The endorsement was made public during the second anniversary celebration of Governor Hyacinth Alia in office, held Makurdi, Benue State Capital.
Senator Barnabas Gemade who initiated a motion for the endorsement praised the performance of the APC-led government and urged for a second term for Tinubu and Alia, assuring of continued support for their people-oriented projects and programmes.
Addressing the mammoth gathering, Governor Hyacinth Alia reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to continue investing in key sectors to drive economic growth, create job opportunities, and improve the lives of the people of Benue State.
In a speech to mark the occasion of his second anniversary in office, Governor Alia expressed gratitude to the people of Benue for their trust, sacrifice and support to his administration.
The Governor highlighted the achievements of his administration in infrastructure development, healthcare, agriculture, education, youth empowerment, and security.
He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government for their support and emphasized the importance of partnership and collaboration for the progress of Benue State.
He appealed for patience, unity, faith, and hope in building a secure, prosperous, and respected Benue for all its citizens.
