Former President Olusegun Obasanjo arrived in Minna, the Niger State capital, on Sunday evening for a significant meeting with key former military leaders.
The ex-president landed around 4:15 p.m. on a chartered flight from Benin City, where he had earlier attended the 90th birthday celebration of Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom.
Upon arrival, Obasanjo headed straight to the hilltop residence of former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB).
Sources reveal that the meeting was also attended by two other prominent figures: former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd), and former National Security Adviser, General Aliyu Gusau (rtd).
The closed-door meeting is believed to be part of ongoing consultations among Nigeria’s elder statesmen on national issues.
