Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule, has departed Abuja for an official working visit to the United States. In a statement signed by Ibrahim Addra, the Chief Press Secretary, the Governor’s visit will focus on key developmental discussions and investment opportunities for the state.
One of the major highlights of the trip is Governor Sule’s participation in an African Forum event titled “Securing Africa’s Critical Mineral Wealth: A Role for Sovereign Wealth Funds,
” scheduled for Tuesday, September 17th, in Washington, D.C. The Governor will join a panel of global experts to discuss strategies for unlocking Africa’s mineral wealth, with a particular emphasis on Nasarawa State’s competitive edge in the sector.
Furthermore, Governor Sule is set to speak at the 2024 United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), where he will contribute to conversations around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other matters of national importance.
His participation underscores his commitment to aligning Nasarawa State’s development with global objectives.
In addition to these engagements, the Governor’s itinerary includes meetings with business leaders and potential investors in sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and solid minerals, aimed at driving growth and investment in Nasarawa State.
The working visit reflects Governor Sule’s proactive efforts to advance the state’s economic and developmental agenda through international collaboration.
