In its total Onslaught against vandals and other Criminal elements tempering with critical National assets in Niger state, the operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) Niger State Command arrested two suspects in connection with the vandalism of Cables at the Niger Farm, in Bida.
The two suspected vandals who are currently cooling their heels at the detention facility of the NSCDC headquarters in Minna identities are being kept pending further investigation.
This was contained in a press release personally signed by the newly posted Commandant of the Corp in Niger State Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi Kambara and obtained by Rimawaglobal news. Com in Minna Tuesday.
The Statement revealed that they were arrested by NSCDC operatives during a routine patrol along the farm in Bida.
It further revealed that preliminary Investigations indicated that the two suspected vandals were alleged to be involved in the destruction of critical aluminum cables which led to the disruption of operation at the Niger
The Commandant assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding the vandalism and the command under his leadership will make Niger State inhabitable for criminally minded elements in the state.
" Criminal elements and vandals of critical National assets in Niger should in their own interest relocate from the state.
" I will continue to launch a total Onslaught against them until I chase them out of Niger state. They should either desist forthwith in their criminal activities or they should be prepared to incur the heavy weight of the law" he warned.
Commandant Adamu Abdullahi maintained that the command will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that those responsible for this ungodly act are brought to face the full weight of the law
The Commandant also warned that vandalism of critical infrastructure will not be tolerated, and those found culpable will face the full weight of the law.
The NSCDC, according to him is in synergy with other sister agencies in the state to ensure the protection of critical National assets and Infrastructures " which is our core mandate.
