In a decisive move, the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) in Nasarawa State has constituted a high-level investigative committee to scrutinize the defection of Hon. Muhammad Garba Isimbabi, the member representing Toto/Gadabuke Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
The defection, which has sparked considerable discussion within political circles, is viewed by the NNPP leadership as a significant development requiring thorough examination.
The committee's formation was the result of an expanded stakeholders meeting held in Lafia, the state capital, which brought together the NNPP's top brass.
Attendees included State Chairman Sidi Muhammad Bako, party leader Alh. Abdullahi Maidoya Yakubu, National Assistant Secretary Hon. Umar Faruk Auta, and members of the State Working Committee.
During this crucial meeting, the leadership underscored the importance of understanding the motivations behind Hon. Garba Isimbabi's defection, and the potential impact it may have on the party's standing in Nasarawa State, particularly in the Toto/Gadabuke Constituency.
