Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has called on citizens to adopt constructive criticism as a means to foster a fair and responsible democracy.

The governor made this appeal during a courtesy visit by the newly established "Tinubu Kauran Gwandu Continuity Movement (TKG)" at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.

Governor Idris emphasized the importance of critiquing with verifiable facts rather than spreading baseless accusations. "Even if you want to criticize, do that constructively, criticize with verifiable facts," he advised.

He also expressed concern over individuals who isolate themselves to fabricate misleading statements against the government.

Reflecting on past administrations, Governor Idris remarked, "During the previous administrations, the same set of people used to lock up themselves and write nonsense against the government, and the then government used to call them and give them money. Kauran Gwandu will not call anybody and give him money. Kebbi government's money belongs to the people of Kebbi.

" He further stressed that state funds are dedicated to the welfare of Kebbi's citizens and will not be misused.

Alhaji Ahmed Idris, the Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor, highlighted the significance of the governor's message, noting that it underscores the administration's commitment to transparency and accountability.

He reiterated that the governor’s stance is a reflection of his dedication to serving the people of Kebbi State without succumbing to external pressures or unjust demands.

According to the Chief Press Secretary, this approach is intended to safeguard public resources and ensure that the government remains focused on delivering tangible benefits to the citizens.

In response to the governor's address, Alhaji Kabiru Labbo-Jega, Chairman of TKG, clarified that the movement is not a campaign organization but a platform committed to promoting the achievements of Governor Idris and President Tinubu.

He highlighted that their primary objective is to educate the public on the government's good works.

Additionally, the Director General of TKG, Alhaji Kabiru Sani-Giant, mentioned that the movement was initiated by Umar Ahmed Farouk, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), to support the projects of President Tinubu and Governor Idris.
He stated that the organization is deeply connected to the grassroots, aiming to unite the people of Kebbi towards a common goal.

The governor pledged his full support to the TKG, encouraging them to continue their efforts in promoting good governance in Kebbi State.
