The Kaduna based Women's interfaith Counci under the eagis of interfaith forum of Muslims and Christians Women's Association in its efforts to serve to humanity and contribute in the fight against poverty and economic hardship amongst the Society has trained no fewer than 42 Muslims and Christians Women on Various Skills.
Speaking at graduation ceremony of the trainees held at St Anthony's parish, Catholic Church, Dakace in Zaria Local Government area of Kaduna state, the Executive Director of the Council, Rev Sister Veronica Onyeanisi Ola said that the training was aimed at Empowering the participants to stand on their own in order to manage their families effectively by supporting their husbands.
Her words "The the trainees were trained on fashion Designer, upholstery, pastery and Baking, today their graduating, send all the glory to God Almighty for success of this training."
She pointed out that with current economic situation managing homes, husbands needed support from their wives.
The Executive Director stated that her Counci was improving the livelihood of women and Girls for sustainable peace coexistence through building Relationships between Christians and Muslims
She further pointed out that the training has cemented the existence relationship between the trainees more.
Reverend Sister Oyeanisi called on the trainees to integrate the training they to others interest of service to humanity.
"We thank Catholic Dioceses, Missio uk, Bistum Mainz Germany and Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles as our supporters for their immense contribution." She said
Our Correspondent reports that the participants were trained in various skills such as fashion Design, Bags making, pastery and Baking, Costmetology among others and were empowered with starter packs which including sewing machines and other items required for cosmetology, baking, and upholstery.
In his remarks the Director Catholic Inter-Religious Dialogue, Very Reverend Henry Atumah charged the trainees make judicious use of the starter pack provided to them by the council in order to achieve the target objective and to always meet their propective Customers' demand.
