The head coach of Nigeria's senior women's national basketball team, the D'Tigress, Rena Wakama, has expressed her delight and confidence in the team's performance as they continue their training camp in Germany ahead of the Paris Olympic Games.
In a conversation with NBBF media, Wakama shared, "Things have been going well in the camp in the last few days, as we have had great practice sessions and the girls are in great spirits. The girls are responding well to training and getting better every day, and that's what matters."
Wakama, who led D'Tigress to a record-equalling fourth Afrobasket title in Rwanda, added, "I'm confident that the girls will be able to display their talents when we get to Paris. I'm excited and looking forward to the games."
The team is scheduled to play a friendly match against Germany in Berlin on July 19, followed by games against Serbia in Belgrade on July 21 and Japan in Lille, France on July 24.
