Otunba Gabriel Davies, President of Ottasolo FC Lagos, has joined the global football community in celebrating Enugu Rangers for clinching the 2023/2024 NPFL Title. The Antelopes secured the championship with a game to spare after a decisive 2-0 victory against Bendel Insurance on NPFL Matchday 37 at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu.
The title was officially sealed when Rangers defeated Gombe United 2-1 in their final league fixture at the New Jos Stadium, Jos, Plateau State, and were subsequently presented with the NPFL medals and trophy on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters on Monday morning, President Gabriel Davies praised the management, technical team, and players of Enugu Rangers for their outstanding achievement. He particularly acknowledged the leadership of General Manager Barrister Ezeaku Amobi, attributing the success to innovative strategies implemented under his guidance.
"If he can win the NPFL title in his first year as General Manager, then the people of Enugu State can expect more significant accomplishments in the future," Davies remarked.
He also lauded the coaching prowess of Fidelis Ilechuchuku, the team's technical adviser, noting, "Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has proven himself to be one of Nigeria's top coaches. His technical acumen is commendable, and he deserves every accolade."
Davies concluded by extending congratulations to the entire backroom staff and players of Enugu Rangers for their resilience and dedication throughout the season.
