Please, you have to do something about the APC Gubernatorial Candidates in Kano State and Plateau State: His Excellency Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna of Kano State and His Excellency Goshwe Netanwe Yilwatda of Plateau State, to secure the votes that we know are ours.
I want to highlight the importance of these two prominent candidates. In past elections, for instance, in Kano State, H.E. Gawuna garnered a total of 890,705 valid and genuine votes, which INEC and the courts confirmed. Similarly, in Plateau State, H.E. Netanwe received 481,370 votes. Every APC member knows that these candidates have their own supporters whose votes can determine the outcome of elections in their states.
Especially noteworthy is H.E. Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna of Kano State, who secured the highest number of votes among the 36 APC Gubernatorial Candidates in Nigeria.
Considering these figures and the political landscape in Northern Nigeria, particularly in Kano and Plateau, these candidates can significantly impact the forthcoming 2027 general election.
Therefore, I urge our National Leader, Mr. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to take action to protect these pillars and valuable votes that will contribute to our party's victory in the 2027 election.
It's common knowledge that these individuals won their elections with valid votes; however, political calculations led to them losing their mandates in the Supreme Court.
Mr. President, I am raising this concern because we work closely with grassroots supporters who voted for these candidates.
We are analyzing their sentiments, which will greatly influence the outcome of the 2027 election, positively or negatively, depending on whether action is taken to support their mentors.
There's a Hausa proverb that says, "The target of a wise man is prepared before he returns home" (Tsiyar nasara sai zashi gida).
