In its efforts to quest to encourage students to self reliant during and after their studentship as its mandate the Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Zaria's Directorate of Skills and entrepreneurship Development has trained 200 Students on different Skills as such Solar Installation, electric, POP among others
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the trainees held at the School yesterday the kaduna State Commissioner for Education, Professor Muhammad Sani Bello, Mainan Zazzau charged them make use skills they acquired to self reliant in order to fight joblessness and or restiveness and useful to them selves and the Society and the nation at large
The Commissioner represented by Director Higher Education Hajiya Adama Abdullahi said the businesses and hand work were the best things students needed to have nowadays for a self reliance after their graduation rather than defending on Government work.
"Government alone can not provide job opportunities nowadays,"Said
While commending efforts of the School management for bringing about the idea and or iniatve that reduce the over depending on Government work among divergent youth after graduation of Schools, the Emir of Zazzau and Chairman Kaduna state Council of Emirs and Chief Mallam Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli said having such the centre would help not only the student and community to be self reliant.
The Emir represented by Wazirin Zazzau Khadi Muhammad Inuwa Aminu Congratulated the trainees for the zeal and interest they exhibited throughout the training period up to the graduation.
Mallam Charged them to be good ambassador of Centre and the School and urged to train others within their various committees.
Also speaking the Rector of the School Engineer Dr Muhammad kabir Abdullahi said the program was aimed to made a students and other youth self reliant and complete Government efforts for economic growth.
In his message at the occasion the Vice Chancellor Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Professor Kabir Bala promised his University's support to the centre .
