The Katsina State Government has announced plans to renovate the Central Mechanical Workshop, a pivotal hub for vehicle maintenance, with operations spanning several decades.

The revitalization of this workshop, established long before the creation of Katsina State, underscores its enduring significance, despite previous neglect. In a bid to reinvigorate its functionality and improve efficiency, Governor Malam Dikko Radda has issued directives for its comprehensive overhaul.
Upon completion of the renovation, the workshop will serve as a focal point for repairing and servicing government vehicles. This strategic move aims to streamline maintenance operations and ensure the optimal functioning of state-owned vehicles across various departments.
Moreover, the refurbished facility will play a pivotal role in empowering local artisans, youth, and apprentices at the Katsina Youths Craft Village. It will serve as a training ground for aspiring technicians, providing them with hands-on experience and skills development opportunities.
In addition to its primary role in vehicle maintenance, the workshop will also facilitate community engagement and outreach programs.
