Nasarawa Speaker Commences Construction of Classrooms at GSS Bassa...........Attends Church Service in Country Home

The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Danladi Jatau, has promised to continue to prioritize the education needs of the people of constituency and others across the State. 

He made the pledge when he laid foundation for the building of two classrooms with principal office at GSS Bassa, Kokona LGA .
According to him, the importance of education to human and societal development could not be overemphasized, hence the need for his gesture in that direction. 

" This is my contribution to the development of education in my constituency as  education is the back borne of every society.

" I will release funds for this project to ensure that by the end of March next year, the project is completed, this is coming from my personal resources" He said

He also  commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his passion in the education sector.

"His Excellency has built many structures in schools in my constituency and he will build more by God's grace .

" I want to call on all of us to support His Excellency to succeed in the execution of his good education policies and programmes," he said.

He assured of his continuous readiness to give adequate attention to the education and other sectors of the economy.

Hon. Jatau urged the contractor handling the project to deliver good work. 

" What I want is good and quality work. I want to call on you to ensure that you deliver a good job," he said 

Responding, Mr Habila Hassan, the contractor handling the work has assured the Speaker of quality work.

Accordingly, Hon. Danladi Jatau, the Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly has on Sunday worship in his country home at ECWA Church, Angiri Bassa. 

Jatau, has described Gov. Abdullahi Sule as a God fearing leader that  have the interest of both Christians and Muslims at heart.

He  stated this while addressing members of his church, ECWA Church Angiri during Sunday service today. 

He thanked God, who is the maker of heaven and earth for making him Speaker of the 7th Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

" I want to thank God, who is our saviour, the maker of heaven and earth for making it possible for me to emerge as Speaker of the State House of Assembly

" I also want to thank His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule, my predecessor and Hon Members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for unanimously supported me to be the Speaker of the State Assembly. 

" It is the lord doing and let's continue to worship and thank God at all times.

" By God's grace, I will not fail in my responsibility as Speaker of the State House of Assembly," he said.

He appreciated the Church for their prayers and support to enable him succeed always.

" This is my church, you have been praying and supporting me right from my Councilorship position to this present position. I thank you all for your prayers and support," he said 

He urged the people to embrace religious and ethnic tolerance for the overall development of the State.

The Speaker also called on the people of the church and the state to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed 

Earlier, Rev. Joshua Jatau , the Reverend in-charge of the Church urged Christians and other Nigerians to always give to the lord and the society at large. 

He thanked God for making their member Speaker of the state legislature and prayed God to protect, guide and bless Hon Jatau in all ramifications. 

The man of God called on Christians to live a life worthy of emulation in order to inherit the kingdom of God and for the overall development of the society.

Joshua also prayed for the success of Rt. Hon Jatau in his new job for the overall development of the State.

It would be reported that the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau with his wife and entourage worship in the church to appreciate God and to thank the people of the church for their prayers and support always.

In a related development some communities paid a congratulatory visit on the Speaker and rejoice with him on his emergence as Speaker of the state legislature. 

They include Fulani community of Bassa/ Yelwa District led by its Ardo Suleiman Nagoji, kware, communities in Yelwa ward, youth association, Angwan Wuje community led by its Village Head, Musa Audu, Sakwato community led by its Village Head, Abdullahi Musa, Akware community led its Village Head Abubakar Isah among others.
