The Kwararafa Women Association (KWA), Nasarawa State Chapter, has cautioned members of the public against dealing with individuals allegedly impersonating its officials and members to perpetrate fraud and unauthorized activities across the state.

In a statement signed by the Chairperson, Mrs. Kaltume Sulieman Ogah, and a copy made available to Rimawaglobalnews, the Association said it had uncovered the activities of non-members falsely presenting themselves as representatives of KWA to solicit funds, make promises, and enter into commitments without lawful authority.

The Association described such acts as fraudulent and criminal, stressing that they do not reflect its values, objectives, or mode of operation.

It clarified that the Kwararafa Women Association maintains a verified membership register, adding that only duly registered members are authorized to act on its behalf.

The statement further noted that all legitimate transactions or engagements must bear the official seal and signatures of the recognized Executive Committee.

According to the Association, relevant security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, as well as appropriate government authorities in Nasarawa State, have been formally notified of the development.

The leadership disclosed that legal action has been initiated against individuals found culpable of impersonation and misrepresentation.

The public was advised to exercise caution and verify the authenticity of anyone claiming to represent the Association by contacting its official secretariat before entering into any transaction or formal engagement.

The statement warned that the Association would not hesitate to prosecute offenders to the full extent of the law, describing the disclaimer as a final warning to all impostors to desist immediately from such illegal acts.
