NECO Strengthens Host Community Ties, Constructs New Palace for Gidan Mangoro Village Head

The National Examinations Council (NECO,says in its determination to strengthen synergy between it and host community,the management has constructed a new palace for the Village Head of Gidan Mangoro,in Bosso local council of Niger State.

Inaugurating the palace on Thursday 10th September 2026, the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer NECO, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi,stated that the commissioning ceremony was not just an event to officially open a structure,but a celebration of partnership, saying it reflects the conviction of NECO that corporate responsibility must extend beyond it's primary mandate of examinations, certification,and educational quality assurance.

Professor Wushishi stressed that the palace symbolizes unity, cultural heritage, and the enduring role of traditional institutions in strengthening social cohesion, adding that,it serves as a center for leadership,counsel, reconciliation,and community organization.

NECO boss maintained that Gidan Mangoro community,hosts the Headquarters of the council,has continue to demonstrate a spirit of hospitality, understanding,and peace, noting however that is a clear demonstration of the peaceful nature of the community and the maturity of it's leadership.

According to Professor Dantani,over the years,this has translated into a relationship that is both productive and cordial one that has enable NECO to operate effectively,attract staff and visitors,and sustain it's activities without unnecessary disruption".He said.

In his words".We understand that strong education system thrive where communities are stable, peaceful,and well coordinated, stressing that through our corperate social responsibility activities,we contribute meaningfully to the welfare of our host communities, support traditional values and leadership,as well as encourage development that benefits present and future generations".Don emphasized.

Earlier in his remarks,the Emir of Minna, Alhaji (Dr) Umar Faruk Bahago,represented by Sarikin Samari,Salihu Garba,urged other establishments in his emirate to emulate NECO by contributing to the growth and development of their host community.

The monarch had expressed delight with the foresight of the NECO management and it's leadership.

 The Village Head of Gidan Mangoro,Mallam Sani Zagi,while appreciating the management of NECO, commended Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi for maintaining the synergy that has been existing between NECO and host community.

Zagi explained that NECO has over the years executed meaningful projects in the community such as motorized boreholes and provision of electricity transformer for the benefit of the community and it's neighbouring villages,saying the projects has made significant impact on the livelihoods of the people of the area.

Highlights of the commissioning ceremony was the symbolic turbaning of NECO Registrar, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi,with traditional tittle of Maji Dadi Gidan Mangoro
