Gov. Sule Nominates Eight New Commissioners, Assembly Fixes Aug. 7 for Screening

Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State has forwarded the names of eight commissioner nominees to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for confirmation.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Ph.D., announced the nominations during Wednesday's plenary in Lafia while reading the governor's letter to lawmakers.
The nominees are:
Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo (Wamba LGA)
Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed (Lafia LGA)
Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu (Keffi LGA)
Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga (Obi LGA)
Adamu Rabecca Kpadji (Wamba LGA)
Nawani Aboki (Doma LGA)
Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim, FCNA (Nasarawa LGA)
Ashefo Daniel Paul, Ph.D. (Lafia LGA).
The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to notify the nominees to submit 30 copies of their Curriculum Vitae (CVs) ahead of their screening.
The House fixed Friday, August 7, 2026, for the screening and possible confirmation of the commissioner nominees.
