ISLAMIC GROUP COMMEMORATES DEATH OF SHI'ITE LEADER'S 3 CHILDREN, 31 OTHERS AS QUDS' DAY MARTYRS AFTER 12 YRS

An Islamic Group under the auspices of Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) popularly known as shi'ite has commemorate the death of its lts leader Sheik Ibrahim Elzakzak's children, Hamid Elzakzak, Ahmed Elzakzak and Mahmud Elzakzak were allegedly killed along side 31 others by Soldiers in Zaria during commemoration of International Quds' day on 25th July, 2014.
In his keynote address at the occasion held at Darul Rahama located at Dambo Village in zaria Local Government area of Kaduna state on Saturday the leader of the Group, Sheikh Ibrahim Elzakzak expressed profound sorrow over the tragedy of Ashura and the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (A.S.). He a reminded the gathering of the forthcoming Arba'een observance and referred to the funeral of what he described as the martyr of the Muslim Ummah, Sayyid Ali Khamenei and the significance of the occasion.
He reflected on the origins of International Quds Day activities in Nigeria, explaining that the annual procession was first observed in Zaria on the last Friday of Ramadan before gradually expanding to other parts of the country as participation increased.
He noted that public awareness and support for the Palestinian cause had likewise continued to grow over the years.
"The International Quds Day procession is an expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people, who have endured occupation, oppression, and injustice for more than seven decades.
"Nigeria was the only country where a Quds Day procession came under violent attack that year.
"This incident was witnessed by the public. Yet, as if that was not enough, a year later another assault was launched against us with the intention of wiping us out completely. Their objective during the July 25, 2014 attack was only halted after 34 people had been killed."
"Attacking the Quds Day procession was as an attempt to please Israel." He complained
The Cleric declared that fear of death would not deter his members for the fact there that was honour of being being innocently and in the cause of Allah.
He pointed out that death was inevitable, adding that every human must ultimately die either naturally or otherwise
"Whether you shoot or you do not shoot, we will continue to come out.
"We are commited to the ideals for which our martyrs sacrificed their lives.
" And We remain steadfast upon the path for which these martyrs gave their lives. Whether we are honoured or whether we die on this path, we shall never abandon it." He emphersised
He warned those responsible for the killings to repent or they would loss on earth and hereafter.
