Nasarawa North By-Election: APC Chieftain Commends INEC, Hails Peaceful Voting Process in Nasarawa Eggon

An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Isiaka Abdullahi, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the ongoing Nasarawa North Senatorial District by-election, describing the electoral process at his polling unit as peaceful, orderly and transparent.
Speaking shortly after casting his vote at Polling Unit 018, Nasarawa Eggon Town, Alizaga Electoral Ward, Abdullahi commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the smooth conduct of the exercise, noting that election officials arrived on time and electoral materials were adequately deployed.
According to him, despite initial minor glitches experienced with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), the issue was promptly resolved, allowing voters to be successfully accredited and cast their ballots without significant delays.
He said the atmosphere at the polling unit remained calm and peaceful, with voters demonstrating commitment to the democratic process by turning out to elect their preferred candidate and remaining vigilant to ensure that their votes count.
The APC stalwart noted that residents were actively participating in the election while maintaining law and order, describing the environment as one marked by happiness, cooperation and civic responsibility.
Abdullahi further applauded the collaborative efforts of security agencies, election officials, journalists and other stakeholders for contributing to the peaceful conduct of the poll.
He stressed the importance of citizens protecting their votes and monitoring the process through the counting stage to ensure that the final outcome reflects the will of the majority.
The APC chieftain expressed optimism that the election would produce a credible outcome, citing the level of preparation by INEC and the orderly conduct witnessed at the polling unit.
He added that the by-election demonstrates the growing confidence of citizens in democratic governance and their determination to participate in the selection of leaders capable of delivering meaningful dividends of democracy to the people of Nasarawa North Senatorial District.
