Prof. Abdulkarim Kana Withdraws from 2027
Nasarawa West Senatorial Race

Abdulkarim Abubakar Kana has officially withdrawn from the 2027 senatorial race for the Nasarawa West Senatorial District.
The announcement was made during a meeting with the Central Working Committee of his campaign organization, where the legal luminary briefed members on developments surrounding his political ambition and addressed reports circulating on social media.
Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Attajiri, confirmed the withdrawal, stating that the decision was taken in compliance with the directive of the state governor and leader of the party.
He described Prof. Kana as a seasoned legal expert and disciplined politician whose loyalty and commitment to the party have earned him respect across the country.
Alhaji Attajiri appealed to supporters across the senatorial district to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding, stressing that patience remains a key virtue in political engagement.
He also appreciated traditional rulers and critical stakeholders for their support and contributions throughout the consultation process.
The committee further reaffirmed its loyalty to the party leadership at all levels and thanked supporters for their steadfast commitment and understanding.
