The Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Nasarawa State, Isaac Danladi, on Wednesday led the state government’s legal team to the National Industrial Court sitting on Gimbiya Street, Area 11, Garki, Abuja, in a suit instituted by 63 former employees of the defunct Nasarawa State Transport Services.
Barr. Isaac Danladi appeared before the court alongside Mrs Justina Allu Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Mr. Felix Dza, Director Legal Drafting (DLD), and principal State Council Sam Ogu for the adoption of final written addresses in the matter titled Zakari U. Elayo & 62 Others Vs Nasarawa State Government & one other.
The claimants, who were disengaged following the liquidation of the Nasarawa State Transport Company in 2013, are contending that their employment remains valid and subsisting despite the dissolution of the company.
They are also seeking payment of alleged outstanding salaries, allowances, and other entitlements accumulated since their disengagement.
After the adoption of the final written addresses by counsel to both parties, the National Industrial Court adjourned the matter to July 2, 2026, for judgment.
