Governor Bala deploys commissioner, assigns other SEC members amid resignations

Bauchi State Governor, Sen.Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, has approved the deployment of a commissioner and assignment of State Executive Council (SEC) members to supervise ministries and offices, following the resignation of the Chief of Staff, Government House, Hassan Gamawa, and six commissioners from the State Executive Council to pursue their political ambitions.
In a press statement signed distributed to journalists by Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor Monday said the Governor approved the immediate deployment and assignment of some members and commissioners in the cabinet to supervise the offices and ministries affected by the vacuum created, pending the appointment of new ones.
The deployments and assignments are as follows: Hashimu Yakubu, Principal Private Secretary (PPS), is to supervise the Office of the Chief of Staff, Government House, while Dr Mohammed Lawal R/Zayam was deployed to the Ministry of Power, Science and Technology.
Hassan Usman El-Yakub, SAN, Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, is to supervise the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Usman Usman Shehu, Commissioner of Information and Communication, is to supervise the Ministry of Water Resources; and Rt. Hon. Danlami Ahmed Kawule, Commissioner of the Ministry of Housing and Environment, is to supervise the Ministry of Rural Development and Special Duties.
Furthermore, Amina Muhammad Katagum, Commissioner of the Ministry of Budget, Economic Planning and Multilateral Coordination, is to supervise the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management,
Muhammad Sadiq Shira, Commissioner of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, is to supervise the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development; and DIG Sani Mohammed (rtd.), Chief Security Adviser to the Governor, is to supervise the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs.
While wishing the outgoing members well in their future endeavours, the Governor called on the deployed and assigned members to take full charge of their assigned offices and bring to bear their wealth of experience in managing the offices.
