A former governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Dr. Fatimah Abdullahi, has accepted the outcome of the party’s recently concluded primaries and called on her supporters to unite behind Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Friday, Dr. Abdullahi thanked her supporters, party faithful, and stakeholders across the state for their commitment, sacrifices, and confidence throughout the primary election process.
She described the contest as a collective struggle aimed at building a stronger and more inclusive Nasarawa State where every voice matters.
Dr. Abdullahi congratulated Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada on his emergence as the APC candidate, stressing that politics remains a contest of ideas that should ultimately strengthen party unity and progress.
She urged all her supporters, coordinators, and well-wishers across the state to rally round the party’s candidate and work collectively toward ensuring victory for the APC in the 2027 elections.
The former aspirant also used the opportunity to advocate for greater inclusion of women in politics and governance, noting that women remain underrepresented in decision-making processes despite their critical contributions to society.
According to her, increased women participation in governance would make leadership more responsive, accountable, and people-oriented.
She encouraged women across Nasarawa State, particularly those in markets, schools, farms, and offices, to actively participate in politics through voter registration, organization, leadership, and contesting elective positions.
Dr. Abdullahi reaffirmed her loyalty and commitment to the APC, pledging to support the party’s success at all levels in the interest of peace, unity, and development of Nasarawa State.
