Speaker Jatau, who is the Number Three Citizen of Nasarawa State, also called for continued prayers for governments at all levels, leaders, the state and the nation, as well as for the success of the 2027 general elections.
This was contained in a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, on the eve of the Sallah celebration.
According to the statement, the Speaker urged the people of the state to use the Eid-el-Kabir period for sober reflection, spiritual renewal and strengthening their relationship with God and fellow human beings.
Jatau emphasized the significance of the festival of sacrifice, noting that the season should promote love, understanding, selflessness and sacrifice for the peace, unity and prosperity of the nation.
He further appealed to wealthy individuals and privileged members of society to extend support to the less privileged in order to give them a sense of belonging during the festive period.
While congratulating Muslims on the successful completion of the spiritual exercise and the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, the Speaker called for peaceful and hitch-free festivities.
He also urged citizens to remain law-abiding and continue to support constituted authorities for the overall development of the state and the country.
