2027: Keana Stakeholders Appeal for Support for Nalaraba’s Senate Bid
Urge Awe, Doma, Obi, Lafia to reciprocate years of political backing

Stakeholders from Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa South Senatorial District have appealed to sister LGAs—Awe, Doma, Obi and Lafia—to support the senatorial aspiration of Hon. Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The appeal, made during a consultative engagement with party leaders and community representatives, emphasized the need for equity, fairness, and rotational balance in the district’s political leadership.
Speaking on behalf of the Keana delegation, the leaders noted that Keana has consistently supported other LGAs in producing senatorial representatives over the years, and now deserves similar backing.
They outlined that Doma Local Government had held the senatorial seat for eight years, Obi for twelve years, and Lafia for eight years, stressing that Keana has yet to occupy the position within the same period.
According to them, “Politics should be guided by justice and inclusivity. Keana has played its part in sustaining unity and delivering victories for the zone.
It is only fair that other LGAs rally round and support our son, Hon. Abubakar Nalaraba, for the Senate in 2027.”
The stakeholders described Nalaraba as a seasoned politician and grassroots mobilizer with the experience and capacity to effectively represent Nasarawa South at the National Assembly.
They further urged party faithful and the electorate across Awe, Doma, Obi and Lafia to prioritize competence and zoning balance in their decision, noting that such an approach would strengthen unity and deepen democratic participation in the district.
Hon. Nalaraba, a former governorship aspirant under the APC, is said to be intensifying consultations across the zone as part of his build-up to the 2027 polls.
