The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Abdullahi Sule, has held a strategic meeting with one of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirants for the 2027 general elections, Dr. Faisal Shuaib, in what observers describe as a move towards strengthening party cohesion ahead of the primaries.
Dr. Faisal, accompanied by key members of his political structure, visited the Government House in Lafia for a closed-door engagement with the governor, signaling ongoing consultations within the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Emerging from the meeting, Dr. Faisal reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the governor and declared his support for the governor’s preferred aspirant, Aliyu Wadada, ahead of the party’s gubernatorial primaries.
The development is widely seen as part of broader efforts to build consensus within the party and avoid internal divisions as the 2027 elections approach.
