Nasarawa Attorney General Attends Body of Benchers’ Annual Lecture in Abuja
Event focuses on strengthening legal ethics and professional standards beyond the Call to Bar.

The Nasarawa State Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice attended the Body of Benchers’ Annual Lecture and presentation of the report of the directions of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee held in Abuja.
The high-level legal event was organised by the Body of Benchers and brought together senior members of the legal profession, jurists, and key stakeholders from across the country.
The lecture, themed “Body of Benchers: Beyond Call to Bar,” focused on strengthening ethical standards, discipline, and professional responsibility within the Nigerian legal profession.
The programme took place at the Body of Benchers Complex, located at No. 12, Y. C. Maikyau Crescent, Institution and Research District, FCC Phase III, Abuja, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The annual lecture also featured the presentation of the report of the directions of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee, a key component of the regulatory framework guiding the conduct and discipline of lawyers in Nigeria.
The attendance of the Nasarawa State Attorney General at the event underscores the state government's commitment to upholding the rule of law, strengthening the justice system, and supporting initiatives aimed at maintaining professionalism and accountability within the legal profession.
