Ramadan: Kashim Musa Tumsah Introduces Mobile Feeding, Opens Iftar Centres Across Yobe

As Muslims across the country observe the holy month of Ramadan, Yobe State’s prominent development advocate and governorship aspirant, Kashim Musa Tumsah, has launched a large-scale feeding initiative, establishing multiple feeding centres and introducing mobile meal distribution across the state.
The initiative, designed to support fasting Muslims—particularly the less privileged—has seen feeding points strategically located across the three senatorial zones of Yobe State to enable easy access for beneficiaries.
In Zone A, feeding centres have been established in Damaturu, Gujba, Gaidam, and Dapchi. Meanwhile, Zone B beneficiaries receive meals in Potiskum, Fika, and Nangere, while Zone C has designated feeding points in Gashua and Nguru.
In addition to the fixed feeding locations, Tumsah, widely known as KMT, has also introduced a mobile feeding programme.
The mobile units distribute packaged meals and water directly to communities, reaching hundreds of vulnerable residents daily, including those unable to access the main feeding centres.
The Ramadan intervention also includes the distribution of thousands of bags of rice and cartons of spaghetti, which were shared in phases to individuals, groups, and associations ahead of the fasting period to ease the burden on households.
KMT, who has gained widespread recognition for his humanitarian efforts, has reportedly been encouraged by supporters to contest the Yobe State governorship election in 2027. Over the past two decades, his interventions have spanned critical sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, skills acquisition, and rural infrastructure.
His contributions include the provision of solar-powered boreholes, installation of streetlights, and construction of rural feeder roads aimed at improving access to water, enhancing security, and stimulating economic activities in underserved communities.
The Ramadan feeding initiative is widely viewed as part of his ongoing commitment to community development and social welfare across Yobe State.
