Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development with an on-the-spot assessment of ongoing bridge projects in Lafia, the state capital.
The governor inspected the construction of the Tudun Amba Bridge, a strategic link connecting Lafia to Doma, as well as the Kofan Kaura Bridge within Lafia metropolis, to assess the level and quality of work carried out so far.
Engr. Sule expressed satisfaction with the pace of construction, noting that the projects form part of his administration’s resolve to fulfill campaign promises aimed at improving road connectivity, easing transportation, and boosting economic activities across the state.
He emphasized that upon completion, the bridges would enhance safety, reduce travel time, and open up surrounding communities for greater socio-economic opportunities.
Residents of the affected areas commended the governor for keeping faith with the people, describing the projects as timely interventions that reflect responsive and people-oriented governance.
The bridge projects are expected to significantly decongest traffic in Lafia and strengthen access between urban and rural communities in Nasarawa State.
