The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Nasarawa State, Barrister Isaac Danladi, has given the assurance that the state government remains committed to partnering with the Nigerian Correctional Service to improve justice delivery and reduce crime.
During a courtesy visit, Barrister Danladi welcomed the newly deployed Controller of Corrections, Anthony Adidu Sanda, and his team to the Justice House in Lafia.
He gave the assurance that a strong collaboration between the Ministry of Justice and the Correctional Service is vital to ensuring efficient service delivery and maintaining public safety.
“Our goal is to build a partnership that promotes justice, rehabilitates offenders, and reduces crime across the state,” Danladi stated.
The Attorney-General also commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for granting amnesty to selected inmates, describing the initiative as a demonstration of compassion, peace-building, and commitment to justice.
Controller Sanda expressed gratitude for the warm reception, noting that the visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between the Correctional Service and the Ministry of Justice, which is vital for executing statutory responsibilities effectively.
He added that such collaboration would be instrumental in tackling crime and facilitating the rehabilitation of offenders.
