The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Nasarawa State, Barrister Isaac Danladi, has convened a critical stakeholders’ engagement in Karu Local Government Area, aimed at strengthening grassroots participation and reinforcing government initiatives at the community level.

The engagement, which brought together party leaders, community stakeholders, youth representatives, and political actors, focused on the need for increased civic responsibility, particularly in the ongoing registration exercise across the area.

Speaking during the meeting, Barrister Danladi expressed dissatisfaction over the low turnout recorded during recent registration activities, stressing that Karu residents must reciprocate the goodwill and developmental gestures extended to them by the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule.

According to him, the state government has demonstrated commitment to the growth and development of Karu through infrastructural projects, improved security, and people-oriented policies, adding that active participation by residents remains crucial to sustaining such progress.

“Karu has benefited immensely from this administration. It is only right for the people to come out en masse and actively participate in programmes that will further strengthen governance and development,” Danladi said.

He urged stakeholders to mobilize their respective communities and ensure that eligible residents fully participate in the exercise, noting that civic engagement remains the backbone of democratic governance.

The meeting also provided an avenue for stakeholders to share observations, challenges, and suggestions on improving participation and deepening trust between government and the people.

The engagement ended with a renewed commitment by stakeholders to intensify grassroots mobilization and support the policies and programmes of the Nasarawa State Government.
