The Good Leadership Awareness and Sustainable Development Initiative (GLASDI) has inaugurated its Lafia Local Government officials, with a strong charge on ethical leadership, discipline and commitment to sustainable development.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the State Coordinator of GLASDI, Umar Shalele, urged the newly inaugurated officials to conduct themselves with integrity and remain above board in the discharge of their duties, noting that credible leadership is central to the association’s vision.
Shalele emphasised that GLASDI is a non-political organisation, established to promote leadership awareness and civic responsibility, cautioning members to distance themselves from partisan politics capable of derailing the association’s mission.
He assured members of brighter prospects ahead, stressing that the association is strategically working towards empowerment programmes and skill-acquisition initiatives aimed at improving members’ economic capacity and ensuring impactful, self-reliant livelihoods.
The oath of office was administered by Barrister Dubagari Ishaq Abubakar, after which Alhassan Darihu Alkasim, the newly inaugurated Coordinator of GLASDI, Lafia Local Government, pledged readiness to serve and uphold the ideals of the organisation.
Alkasim assured members of purposeful leadership, transparency and commitment to programmes that will positively impact members and the wider Lafia community.
