The Eggon community has been urged to actively participate in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration exercise as the party intensifies efforts to deepen grassroots participation and sustain development in Nasarawa State.
The call was made by Ambassador Isaac Ali Kigbu, Chairman of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Nasarawa State chapter, during his e-registration at Akaleku, Obi Local Government Area, on Saturday.
Amb. Kigbu stressed the need for Eggon nationals to support the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule, noting what he described as significant progress in key sectors including security, healthcare, agriculture and infrastructure.
According to him, the increasing turnout of Eggon people in the APC e-registration exercise reflects confidence in the party’s commitment to improving livelihoods, particularly in rural communities.
“The APC government is working tirelessly to improve the lives of Eggon people and all residents of Nasarawa State,” Kigbu said.
He attributed the growing support to visible development projects and people-oriented policies being implemented by the state government.
Also speaking, Councillor Jonathan Amagbo and the Village Head of Akaleku, Mr. Ezekiel Joseph, commended Governor Sule’s achievements and called on Eggon nationals to continue supporting the APC.
They further urged residents to back Amb. Isaac Kigbu’s political ambition to represent the Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Representatives of women and youth groups at the event equally pledged their support, citing Kigbu’s development initiatives, agricultural interventions and philanthropic gestures across the constituency.
Amb. Kigbu reiterated that the APC e-registration exercise is ongoing and appealed to residents of Akaleku and surrounding communities to seize the opportunity to participate, describing it as a chance to shape the political future of their communities and contribute to a more prosperous Nasarawa State.
