The Good Leadership Awareness and Sustainable Development Initiative (GLASDI) has expressed deep sorrow over the recent bomb blast in Borno State and the tragic death of two Honourable Members of the House of Representatives from Kano State, describing the incidents as painful losses to the nation.
In a statement issued by its National Public Relations Officer, Maryam Lawal, GLASDI said it was profoundly saddened by the Borno attack, which claimed innocent lives and plunged several families and communities into mourning.
The organisation conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and the people of Borno State, while praying for eternal rest for the departed and strength and healing for those affected.
The group also lamented the demise of the two federal lawmakers from Kano State, noting that their deaths constitute a great loss to their families, constituents, the National Assembly and Nigeria at large.
GLASDI extended its sympathies to the Government and people of Kano State, the National Assembly and the bereaved families, praying for divine comfort and fortitude.
Amid the sombre mood, GLASDI extended goodwill messages to Christian members and Nigerians celebrating Christmas, urging citizens to embrace the season’s message of peace, love, compassion and unity.
Reaffirming its commitment to good leadership, peace and sustainable development, the organisation said it stands in solidarity with all affected communities and will continue to promote unity, empathy and national cohesion, while praying for peace and comfort across the country.
