In the face of growing political speculations, it has become necessary to clarify why His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, did not ask the State Accountant General, Hon. Musa Ahmed Mohammed, to resign from his position.

Contrary to public insinuations, Hon. Musa Ahmed Mohammed has never publicly declared his intention to contest for the governorship of Nasarawa State.

What is currently making the rounds are calls from loyalists, associates, friends, and well-wishers, who, impressed by his sterling performance in public service, have continued to urge him to offer himself for higher leadership.

Investigations revealed that Hon. Musa Ahmed Mohammed, a technocrat of uncommon integrity and competence, has remained focused on his professional duties and silent on the calls for his governorship ambition.

His loyalty to the government of Engineer Abdullahi Sule and his unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline continue to speak volumes about his character and leadership style.

It would be recalled that during a recent meeting with political appointees, Governor Abdullahi Sule cautioned them not to align with or openly identify with any aspirant for now, until the appropriate time comes.

The Governor further advised that anyone unwilling to adhere to that directive should voluntarily resign.

However, in the case of Hon. Musa Ahmed Mohammed, the situation is fundamentally different.

The Accountant General has neither declared for any political position nor engaged in any political activity that contradicts the Governor’s directive. Rather, he has continued to serve the state diligently, ensuring the smooth management of its financial systems and prudent use of public resources.

Many observers see Hon. Musa Ahmed Mohammed as a model of humility, discipline, and administrative excellence, a public servant whose professionalism and integrity have brought stability and credibility to the state’s financial management.

His impressive record of service and leadership qualities have naturally attracted admiration and calls for higher responsibility.

While the future remains in the hands of destiny and the people, it is clear that Hon. Musa Ahmed Mohammed stands tall as one of the most trusted, competent, and forward-looking technocrats in Nasarawa State today.

For now, he remains committed to serving under Governor Sule’s administration, ensuring the continued growth and financial stability of the state he so passionately serves.
