The Ohimege Opanda of Umaisha, His Royal Highness Alhaji Usman Abdullahi, has described death as an inevitable end that comes at the appointed time for every mortal.

The First-Class Traditional Ruler made the remark in Lafia on Sunday when he paid a condolence visit to the family of his in-law, the late Professor Alhassan Usman, who until his demise was the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Federal University Lafia (FULafia).

Eulogizing the late Professor, the Ohimege described him as a calm, humble, and peace-loving man who dedicated his life to the pursuit of knowledge, unity, and the educational advancement of younger generations.

While praying for the repose of the deceased’s soul, the Monarch urged the family to take solace in the will of God, emphasizing that Professor Alhassan’s contributions to education and community development would remain evergreen.

He prayed Allah to forgive the late academic’s shortcomings, comfort his family, and grant him Aljanatul Firdausi.

Responding on behalf of the family, the deceased’s uncle, Alhaji Suleiman Angulu, expressed deep appreciation to the Ohimege for the visit and for identifying with them during their moment of grief.

He disclosed that the late Professor Alhassan, aged 56, died last Tuesday after a protracted illness and is survived by one wife and eight children.
