The Legislative Arm of Lafia Local Government Council has screened and confirmed the four supervisory councilors nominated by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Muhammad Haliru Arabo, in line with the provisions of local government administration.
The lawmakers, after a unanimous screening session, confirmed all nominees and immediately proceeded to the council secretariat for the official inauguration ceremony presided over by the council chairman.
In a press statement issued by the council, Hon. Muhammad Haliru Arabo officially inaugurated the newly appointed Supervisory Councilors and Special Advisers, assigning them portfolios to enhance governance and service delivery at the grassroots.
The appointed Supervisory Councilors are as follows:
- Hon. Khalid Ibrahim – Supervisory Councilor for Education
- Hon. Aklo Dominic – Supervisory Councilor for Agriculture
- Hon. Abdullahi Labaran – Supervisory Councilor for Works
- Hon. Philibus Yohanna Attah – Supervisory Councilor for Health
The Special Advisers inaugurated alongside them include:
- Liman Mainoma Akaro (Mamela Jnr)
- Ibrahim Masallaci Arikya – Revenue
- Alhaji Bala Adogi – Education
- Hon. Yahaya Abdullahi (A.Y) – Political Affairs
- Mohammed Sani – Chieftaincy Affairs
- Mohammed Musa Auwal (Waziri) – Works
- Hon. Agama Atanye – Health
- Anjeh Jonathan Alkali – Education
- Idris Aminu Mu’azu – Youths & Sports
Hon. Arabo congratulated all the appointees and charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through commitment, transparency, and innovation in service delivery.
He emphasized that their appointments reflect his administration’s determination to strengthen governance, deepen community engagement, and accelerate socio-economic development across the Lafia Local Government Area.
The Executive Chairman expressed optimism that the newly inaugurated officials would work harmoniously toward realizing the council’s vision of inclusive growth and improved welfare for all citizens.
