Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, CON, Deputy Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives and Member representing Wase Federal Constituency, has distributed fertilizer to 500 constituents in a major effort to strengthen agricultural productivity and ensure food security.
The empowerment programme, which took place at his Bashar residence, targeted smallholder farmers across polling units and individual communities. Beneficiaries lauded the initiative for its potential to improve livelihoods and increase crop yields.
Represented by his Special Assistant, Barr. Musa Adamu Idris, Wase said the intervention is aimed at supporting farmers to achieve bumper harvests and promoting equitable distribution of agricultural inputs.
He charged the distribution committee to ensure a transparent and hitch-free process, with particular attention to hard-to-reach areas, and warned beneficiaries against selling the fertilizer, urging them to use it judiciously to guarantee abundant harvests.
Dignitaries, party officials and community elders attended the event, describing the gesture as a timely boost to food production and sustainable farming in Wase Federal Constituency.
